We are starting a co-living kinda place, with volunteers, people staying long term and like minded souls (check our profile) we hope to build a vibrant community around this magnificent building encouraging the arts, philosophy, hedonism, good conversations and good healthy food.WORKING ARRANGEMENT
We have done workaway ourselves in different countries as a family and individually so we know how to treat people with humanity, dignity and respect. We usually ask for 4 hours 5 days a week, but that arrangement will always be based on mutual agreement and always discussed and talked beforehand. We think that speaking and with flexibility an understanding is really easy. Ex. I would like to work only afternoons for 5 hours and do it in 4 days, sure... I'm currently working remotely and want to pile my hours on the week end, sure... An agreement is an easy to find.
The work that we are foreseing are: keep the flame going (start the fire so it keeps the house warm) making wood, painting walls, I'll be flipping the yoga room into our own little house. General maintenance, and overall if you have special skills that could be applied count on them being put in service (if you feel like)
LIVING ARRANGEMENT
When we had other volunteers we used to do 4.5 hours 5 days, food included but I usually cooked a shared lunch after work all together and dinners was every man on its own (kids were having early dinners and so we would be minding them and as they get tired and put to bed conversations were not easy to mantain...)
You will have a room for yourself, if you are coming in couples or friends then we expect you to share. If we need to have more people sharing (hasn't happened yet ) There is a bigger room that could be shared (5 beds I believe) if necessary but we would be saying it in advance when you contact us.
