You hit an amazing place to stay, want to know more about it?
At this moment we are on a quest for different personalities and skills :
If you are in the game for a long stay period, we are looking for people to start the Eco commune. See more info at the bottom of the description.
Are you a down to earth Yoga teacher or a massage guru, teach us.
If you ever want to dig out a cave house, we would love to teach you.
Or just convince us we have to host you :-) (It worked already several times
The introduction part of us is below. But we imagine you want to know what we are looking for:
We are Hilde, 44 years and Alain 51 years. We left the rat race and started all over her in Spain. We still have an income, so we do not need to work. So we are focused to make our dream here.
Our intention is to create a little paradise through permaculture, natural life and community.An opportunity to experience a life in outstanding beauty, with pure air, no light pollution, a warm climate, in a friendly safe environment in the middle of nature.We speak Dutch, French, English and Spanish (basic) ( Nederlands, Français, Español, English ) .We have 5 dogs (rescued from dog shelters), 1 cat who thinks she is a dog and one bird of prey and off course a lot of laughing and English humor. And 3 chicken have just joined us in our chicken coop, delivering free eggs .
We live in a cave house on the top of a hill( great view ) in the campo 7 kilometers from the nearest “main” road, with no house in a distance of 7 Km. At 1017 meters altitude, on our own 18 ha, 13,2 acres . 3 hours’ drive from Granada city, in Andalucía. Andalucía is very hot in the summer, as we are 1100 meters high it is much more pleasant than lower down. But can be cold in the winter and rainy
We are having water, electricity, heating in the main cave, WIFI (at prehistoric speed ), but bad GSM signal. We try to be self-sustaining, bit by bit.
We also have our own bird of prey, a red-tailed hawk. (The only 100 % non-vegetarian)
We are installing for the animals that live in the wild, water and food.
The house is functioning 100% on solar energy and has its own well ( drinkable )., own sewage solution .
We also don't allow the use of normal washing products as we reuse the greywater for watering plants .
So please bring eco-friendly soap/shampoo as we do not supply these items. This is very important and not bringing Eco friendly washing products, will result in not be able to use the outside hot water shower.W do love board games like Munchkin, Carcassonne, the Village, Santoska, Catan (Star Trek ) and poker ( not with money :-)There's no Wi-Fi out in nature, but I promise, you will not find a better connection. We do have access in the cave, but we are not hooked on it .

We do love dogs and animals. But we can't take any helpers with Animals.
Also kids are not welcome due to the slopes and the big dogs.

We can arrange to pick up people that are with public transport and help to plan your trip to here.
Workawayers should have their own voluntary work insurance cover whilst staying with us.

We are looking for people to help us. I’m working mostly alone. We love to teach you new skills. But on the other hand, you can give us ideas and other points of view. But the main gain is to meet people to let them discover this fabulous region and our style of life .
