We need help to setting up a camp for children clous to Cluj-Napoca/Transilvania

Location: Turda, ROMANIA

We have a family farm and we are partners and host for various free programs and events for children and community .We need help to setting up/ improvement a camp for children , and we will need help also, on community events and with children summer school activities .
The farm is located near several tourist attractions: 28 km from Cluj-Napoca and 1 km from Turda 1 km from the ,natural areas Cheile Tureniloor, Prehistoric Tombs and Archaeological Park, 1 km from Turda Salt Mine, Roman Castrum,5 km from Natural Areas Cheile Turzii, Al Macedon's Spring,, 16 km Borzesti Gorges and Borzesti Waterfall, 0.5 km from Roman Izvorul, 4 km Petresti Monastery.
What is cultivated on the farm: ornamental plants, field and green vegetables, fodder forage -350 sheep, 12 goats, equine horses, donkeys and ponies, 50 pigs, rabbits, poultry and ornament raised in the free range system .
The guest cottage is not located on the farm but one kilometer from it, in a ecologic and splendid location, it is built but furnished and finished only partially, in it we want to set up an ecologic training center for children.

Volunteer activities:
Looking for people with fresh ideas, enthusiastic about nature, wilderness, off-grid, healthy lifestyle and sustainability. For 01.07-10.09 2018 we need people with carpentry, building and dry stone building skills but other different skills can be useful as well.
Get fresh ideas and perspectives on the project
Cottage landscaping works, ,bathroom and floor finishes, terrace design, furniture from pallets and recycled wood, gardening, construction source of renewable electricity, water headrace, improvement playgrounds for children painting and decorating walls.
Learning English, French, activities, games and workshops in summer school for children of the community,.
Preserving vegetables for the winter(all sorts of..) fruits,vegetables, weeds.
Occasional assistance in maintaining in the farm, stables and fences, animals, harvesting vegetables and fodders, maintenance works if is need.

Offers accommodation and food for help 25 hours a week:
Accommodation of volunteers will be done in the cottage in shared room or in double or triple rooms, or you can place a tent in the yard if you wish.
The bathroom is not ready yet, so we have an eco-toilet. We have water but it may not be enough and we will probably have to transport water 50 meters if needed to cook and wash.
The phone and internet signal is not great, that's why it's great here.
In winter, heating and cooking is done with wood, and in the hot seasons we will use the gas or the garden grill.
We do not have TV yet, and the required electrical power is provided by a generator.
We offer you good local and mostly organic food, both vegetables and meat are served on the table.
Normally high proportion of products from our own farm.We can provide 3 meals per day and access to the kitchen to cook your own meals.

You can explore the area by yourself but I will also love to take you around by bicycle or by car if I have free time. On the other hand, the wild natural surroundings of Transylvania are breathtaking landscapes. You can do climb,fishing, riding, shopping ,etc.. And if you are interested, I'm very happy to share with you some fascinating episodes from our rich and ancient local history.
You will have the opportunity to live in the rural part of Romania you will discover beautiful place , uncovered by too many tourists, always in contact with nature, close to a large city of the county, but also by the important tourist points in this area. You will learn how to renovate a house, and how to care for a garden or animals but the most important thing is that you will be in direct contact with the local community at the same time, we are sure that in turn we are still learning many things, so maybe you can teach us something and at the same time you will leave a mark on our places.
I can teach you about my culture, about the domestic and wild animals, birds and plants , and the local traditions, history and habits in Romania

You can stay for a few days, preferably min. a week, up to a few weeks or even a month. The groups and family are welcome.
