Location: Monsanto, Portugal

We are building an eco-village from tyres and straw! Our aim is to build next to zero cost structures from locally sourced recycled materials. Food forest planting and ultimately self sufficiency.

We are building an organic food forest so we need help with permaculture projects.
Our garden is not yet producing so unfortunately meals are not included although you will find it very cheap to eat out here (100 euros per month).
We usually work 4 hours per day although it is your decision how and when you want to work.
We currently have 4 hens which will provide us with all the eggs we need very soon.

Our facilities are limited although we do have a cold shower and composting toilets.

Until our first tyre wall building is complete accommodation is limited to camping under the stars or if you are lucky there's a spare campervan... For this reason unfortunately we cannot accept volunteers throughout the winter.

There is solar electricity to charge a phone/laptop.

There is no wifi in the land but there are cafes with internet in the beautiful town of Monsanto.
