Farm dating from 1824 in Montepulciano - Italy

This farm was started in 1824 and there are 17 hectares of land (4 ha olive grove, 4.5 ha arable, 6 ha plum orchard, woodland and a fruit orchard), parts of which have been semi-abandoned and need reclaiming. The farm has always been run with respect for nature. Help needed harvesting olives (Nov/Dec), plums (July/August), pruning (March/April), clearing land and ditches, collecting firewood, creating a vegetable garden and other tasks all year round. There are domestic jobs to be done at times and Volunteers who are artistic or have manual skills are especially welcome. Most of the jobs are done with hand tools. There is a pond, geese, chickens and a small dog (Lucky). They hope to have other animals in the future. Accommodation in the old farmhouse, in tents in the campsite or in own room, depending on the time of year. Heating with wood burning stove. No smoking in the house. Stays of at least 2 weeks. Siena, Florence and Rome are easily accessible by train from Montepulciano. English and a little Spanish and French spoken.
