Volunteer Veterinary Staff

Location: Koh Samui, Thailand
On the tropical island of Koh Samui, Thailand, you’ll encounter many stray dogs and cats wandering the beaches and streets. Due to a lack of an ongoing maintenance sterilization program, these dogs and cats breed unrestrained, causing stress to human-animal relations, injuries, and premature deaths.
As a volunteer Vet with Rob’s Dogs Foundation, you’ll undertake sterilizations of both dogs and cats and administer Rabies vaccines. This helps tackle the issue of over population, enabling the animals to have a safer and healthier life on the streets.
Great for vet students who are keen to develop some hands-on experience in high volume S&N procedures. Our Program will help build your confidence in performing these lifesaving surgeries.
You’ll undertake sterilization procedures of male & female (predominately female) dogs and cats and administration of vaccines. You’ll also help us with initiatives to improve human-animal relationships in the community. It can get challenging, but knowing you are helping prevent the birth of thousands of unwanted animals who will be otherwise born into a lifetime of suffering makes our work truly rewarding.
Ready to volunteer to help dogs and cats on Koh Samui? During free time, you’ll find the nearby beaches amazing, there is loads to do and explore on the island, and if you have a valid motorcycle license we will supply you with a motorbike to use during your stay here. We can also recommend affordable accommodation and tours of the island and surrounds. There is much to see and do on Samui – you will never be bored.
