Looking for help in a Guest House in Sapporo
Location: Sapporo, Japan
We are looking for Helpers!
*No more than three months in advanced*
Working Holiday Visa ONLY!
We are a guesthouse in Sapporo, and we are currently looking for people who can help us continue to provide a place here where travelers can call home :)
If you like to travel, to meet new people and share experiences with them, are curious and up to challenges, are interested in guesthouses, Hokkaido, and Japanese culture, and most importantly if you have a good sense of humor and know how to have a good time, we are looking for you! For people who are trying to learn Japanese — we have found that previous helpers tend to experience big improvements in their time with us!
[About our Hostel]
“Make this place your home in Sapporo.”
Our hostel is unlike any other in Japan.
We have a shared livingroom on the first floor, where our guest and locals who live nearby can meet each other. You are certainly encouraged to hang out there as you wish. Our hostel is on the second floor, which is accessed from outside. You will probably notice within 2 minutes of arriving that we like art, and many of our staff/friend’s art is displayed all over the hostel. We are a small hostel which, depending on what type of guests are staying, can be very laid back, or very lively. In the same day, we might projecting a movie on the wall in our hang out space, with a party happening later on in the same space.
Our staff is well travelled and probably as laid-back as it gets without completely falling over, lol. (We do, of course, take our work seriously, but we emphasize enjoyment while doing so above all else).
When? : We can't accept people more than three months ahead of time.
For how long? : From 2 weeks to 1 month
For what compensation? : We offer a place to sleep, and 2 Japanese (and sometimes international) meals to enjoy with us every day (lunch and dinner), and plenty of Japanese practice. Also free access to our shared lounge and all events. We have been accepting helpers for a couple of years now, so are more than able to help you have a good time!
10:30-16:00 (5hours, 1 hour lunch break): help for cleaning the hostel. There are 3 days of work for every 1 day off.
·We accept Working Holiday Visas ONLY!
Unfortunately, even other visas that allow for some work cannot be accepted. This is due to the strict laws in Sapporo.
·All staff can speak English so if you cannot speak Japanese, do not worry! We will be happy to help you improve your Japanese and share our culture with you if you wish. There are a lot of foreigners at our hostel so you can meet many people from all over the world and make new, amazing friends.
·You can hold events at the hostel. Show off whatever talents you have!
·You can have a part time job outside of the hostel if you want.
We are looking forward to welcoming you as a new member of our family!!!
Email us at [email protected] if you are interested!
