Host Family Recruitment: Warm & Active Home Seeks a Caring Au Pair for Our Twin Children
Are you a responsible, upbeat individual with a passion for sports, a heart for children, and a belief in nurturing young minds? We are a loving, dynamic host family based in Hefei, eagerly searching for an international au pair to join our home and grow with our 3-year-old twin childrenAudrey and Holly. This is not just a job for us; its an opportunity to build a meaningful connection, share cultures, and create lasting memories while supporting our family in raising happy, curious kids.
Im a professional Chinese teacher, and my partner is running a small studioand we prioritize balance: hard work, but never at the cost of family time. Weekdays are structured but gentle. Weekends(due to our special career, we only have 1 day off on weekends mostly)are for adventure: walking around in the park, climbing mountains, visiting families. We value kindness, casualty ,curiosity, and laughter above alland we hope you do too.
Our twins, Audrey and Holly, are the heart of our home. Both are gentle, eager to learn, and thrive on positive, patient guidance. They also love being active: whether its kicking a ball, dancing to childrens music, or exploring the park, they light up when theyre moving and playing. As their au pair, youll be a key part of their daily joysomeone who can match their energy, answer their questions with warmth, and turn small moments (like a walk to the playground) into opportunities to learn and connect.
Now, lets share what were looking for in you:
Responsibility: This is our top priority. Youll need to be reliablebe friends with the 2 kids, following familys routines (like bedtime or snack schedules), and keeping our kids safe at all times (e.g., during outdoor play or trips to the library etc.). We trust you to make good, thoughtful decisions when were not around, and to communicate openly if something comes up.
Positive &Outgoing: Our home is a happy one, and we want you to feel comfortable sharing that energy! Were looking for someone who smiles easily, a friendly, approachable attitude will help you bond with our kids (and us!) quickly.
Love for Sports & Activity: Since our twins love being on the move, we hope you do too! This doesnt mean youre a professional athletejust someone who enjoys going for walks, doing outdoor activities, or even trying simple yoga with the kids. Youll help lead active playtime, encourage them to stay moving and increase their language skills, and maybe even teach them a new game from your home country (wed love that!).
Patience:Taking caring of kids never been an easy job!We absolutely know that!Twins mean double the questions, double the energy, and sometimes double the wait, I want that toy! moments. We need someone who can stay calm when things get a little chaoticsomeone who can talk through conflicts gently (e.g., Lets take turns with the truck) instead of getting frustrated. Patience isnt just about handling tough moments; its about slowing down to listen to Liams story about his butterfly or helping Ella practice tying her shoes (even if it takes 10 tries).
A Commitment to Nurturing Growth: We dont just want someone to watch our kidswe want someone who helps them learn and grow. This could be as simple as pointing out flowers and bugs during a walk (to spark curiosity about nature), reading to them every day (to build language skills), or teaching them a few words in your native language (were eager for them to learn about other cultures!). You dont need a teaching degreejust a willingness to turn daily moments into learning opportunities, and a belief that kids learn best when they feel loved and supported.
What well provide for you:
We want you to feel at home, not just like a guest. Heres what you can expect:
A private bedroom and space to make it your own (wed love to see photos from your country!).
All meals includedwell cook together often (and were happy to try recipes from your culture!), and youre welcome to snack on fruits, veggies, or other basics whenever you want.
A monthly pocket money, to cover your personal expenses (like coffee, books, or outings with friends).
Flexible time off: Well agree on a set schedule (typically 35-40 hours per week, with weekends off), and youll have time to explore our city, meet other au pairs, or video chat with your family back home.
Cultural Exchange: Were thrilled to learn about your home countrywhether thats through food, stories, holidays, or traditions. Well also share our culture with you: taking you to local festivals, introducing you to our friends, or even inviting you on family trips (like a weekend getaway to the beach).
Support: Were here for you! If you have questions about living in our city, need help with paperwork, or just want to chat, were happy to listen and assist. This is a partnershipwe want you to feel supported, valued, and part of our family.
