HELP TO CARE FOR HORSES, DOGS, CATS.

Location: Cambrai, Australia

We are pensioners on a small stud farm breeding Arabian horses and German Shepherd dogs. Must be genuine animal lovers and experience with horses and dogs as well as liking cats, goats and chickens.
We are able to sign for 2nd year visa.
We are looking for a couple or 2 friends who are have the following qualities -
self -motivated, hardworking, speak English and good with animals, use initiative, who can be trusted to work on their own or with others, who are confident and experienced, around horses. Unfortunately we cannot teach beginners as our horses are not ridden regularly enough to be reliable for inexperience riders., We ask that you give us your previous experience with horses, we say this for safety reasons, as some of our horses have been miss-handled in the past, have regained their trust in humans but need confident people around them.
Comfortable accommodation with three meals a day, you need to supply your own snacks, fruit, chips and drinks (milk, fruit drinks etc).
Jobs Include – Feeding and watering horses and dogs, cleaning yards/pens, handling/grooming mares and foals, handling goats, walking dogs, playing with kittens. Some maintenance may crop up.
You will have plenty of free time to do your own thing, we usually work in the mornings and chill out after lunch until feed up time around 4.00pm.
Come and enjoy the peace and quiet of country living. You will be able explore the Natural Reserve opposite out place and see the kangaroos and if lucky the wombats. If you have your own transport, we are in a great area “off the beaten track”, in the Murraylands of South Australia, the beautiful Barossa Valley is approximately 45 minutes, the mighty River Murray 20 minutes down the road and Adelaide is just over an hour’s drive, all ideal for photographers. There is a very small general store 8km away and a bit larger one 18 km away and the nearest rural centre is 50km away.
