Help with kids, house, and business in a cute California town

Location: Redlands, USA

Our family is always on the go, very laid back, and enjoy going lots of places in the community that you are welcome to join us at if you so desire.

We are looking for ONE FEMALE to host at a time, preferably Spanish speaking (my daughter used to do dual immersion), but all are encouraged to inquire.

No Couples, Friends, or Males.....we tried having multiple people at once and it was just too overwhelming for our family. We prefer one person at a time who wants to become part of our family for 1 week- 1 month. (as long as we are both happy with the arrangements). We are not looking for long term placements although we would keep the workawayer we have now as long as she wanted to stay if she did not have to go home and back to school! :)

I am a career educator who speaks at high schools, libraries, colleges, and for community organizations. So if you need career advice or are in college or a recent grad...you get that as a bonus, I actually found this site when working with a client. I work very part time, only a few days a month sometimes one day a week, but I also need time to work at home or away from home preparing material and taking care of other details I cant do while the kids are awake and wanting my attention.

So when I am not working, I stay home with my two kids, 3 and 7.

My 3 year old son is VERY active but is super cute and fun to be around. When I am home though, he won't leave my side so it is hard to get things done. He will be starting preschool two mornings a week this month and is excited, at least for now!

My daughter 7, is very talkative, loves to hang out with workawayers and play with them, and is very bright. If you want to practice your english, she will talk to you from the time you wake up until the time you go to sleep if you allow her. She enjoys circus (she does swinging ladders), music, mainly signing, and is very grown up in so many ways, and will be a great companion to you here in the US in teaching you whatever you want to know. She is playing soccer this year (I am coaching) and we are homeschooling 3 days a week as well.

My husband is a high school football coach and teacher so I am a football widow till November and can use the extra help with the house and the kids!

We live in a town called Redlands, we just moved here a few weeks ago, but have been in the community participating in things and working here for about 6 years. It is a cute town with lots of community events and we live in walking or biking distance to it all. We also live by three gyms and you can get week long passes to all of them for free during your stay. There is a bus station in downtown where you can catch a bus to the metros and from there get to all the tourist attractions. Our closest airports are Ontario and La X and they offer metro and buses from each to Redlands.

We are looking for someone who fits into our family, hangs out with us and helps us with our daily needs, and that enjoys being here just as much as we enjoy having them!

Basically you will work 25 Hours a Week and here is what I need.....you to maintain my life so I can be a good mom, homeschool, work, and exist in peace not chaos. There will be days where you will travel and explore or go out for parts of the day or night, as this is your vacation too, but when you are here this is how we need help.

DAILY

Cook Breakfast

Pack/ Cook Lunches

Cook Dinner

Unload Dishwasher

Load Dishwasher during the day and start at night

Start Laundry

Fold / Hang laundry

Water dry plants outside

Sweep porches and inside

Wipe toilets down and check floor (Brett is toilet training)

Pick up living room before bed

Make sure kids take all vitamins and medications and brush Teeth

check and sort Mail

Pick up rooms/ garage before bed

Make beds in am

3 TIMES A WEEK

Change towels in kitchen

Shower/ Bath for kids

Accounting for my business

Clean out cars

WEEKLY

Clean Bathrooms

Wash Rugs

Sweep/ Mop

Menus/ Shopping

Sanitize door knobs and light switches

Babysit for a Date Night

Take kids swimming

Speak another language for the day to kids no english

Babysit if I work

TWICE A MONTH

Change Bedding

Sweep Garage

And other random projects as assigned......mostly looking for someone to help me and just DO not be told what to do. maintaining a house is not my gift, so I hope it is yours and you can just step in and let me do what I need to while you keep things moving around here as they need. So initiative is a must! We also eat a paleo diet so LOTS of cooking happens here, and I hate to cook and clean so looking for someone who loves to do both.

Accommodation
You will sleep in my daughters room or the office.......but we need access to those areas so it is not a private space, us and the kids go in and out so you will have to see which you prefer. You will share a bathroom with the kids as well. Meals when you are home are included and you can also pack a lunch or snacks if you go out.
