Dates Needed: July 17 – August 9 (dates can be negotiated and even extended)We are looking for a dependable house-sitter to care for our home and pets while we are away. The house is located in Zionsville, Indiana, just north of Indianapolis. It is a cozy, safe neighborhood within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, and walking trails. We are also a short drive from museums, hiking areas, concert venues, and only three hours from Chicago.
We are in the process of moving into our dream home, which includes a large yard with a developing garden. You will have the space to yourself, and we will provide basic pantry staples for your stay. Pay is negotiable depending on experience and arrangement.
WORKING ARRANGEMENT
Working hours: 2-3h/day; 5 days a week
Your Responsibilities:
- Cat care: Feeding, water, litter box maintenance, and keeping an eye on two cats who are still getting used to each other. We are working on a slow introduction process, so experience with cats is a plus.
- Lawn maintenance: Use our quiet electric mower to mow the yard 2–3 times during the stay.
- Mail collection: Check the mailbox daily and place mail in our home office.
- Tidiness: Just keep the space clean and orderly - no deep cleaning expected
LIVING ARRANGEMENT
Food basics will be provided and compensation will be negotiated.
House Rules:
1) No loud parties or disruptive behavior
2) No heavy drinking or illegal activity (including drugs)
3) Please be respectful of the home and neighborhood—we’d love to return with no police reports or neighbor complaints!
