Hi! We welcome volunteers to help us with our project.
Our place is beautifully situated in the Mayan jungle of Yucatan, 20 min from the famous ruins of Chichen Itza. We have running water from our cenote well and solar energy. There are many trails through the jungle, great for hiking, biking and birding. Enjoy our watch tower for amazing sun and moon views over the vast jungle, a magical organic garden, and more!
BUILDING
On Jan 09, 2016 we will start the cob building challenge. The first part of this project will be the construction of a communal kitchen including a woodstove, a communal living area and the finishing of the toilets. We are welcoming enthusiastic builders with and without experience. You will learn about natural construction while experiencing the thrill of teamwork, jungle camping and the great feeling of putting your feet in the clay.
GARDEN
We are looking for experienced organic gardeners for our beautiful, magical veggie garden.
COOK
We are looking for an enthusiastic person who would like to be in charge of the kitchen.
Volunteers will experience a combination of work and learning; you will be asked to help in construction, garden and with daily duties like cooking and cleaning.
Minimal stay of 1 week; longer stays are encouraged. You will be asked for about 5 hours of fun work per day in exchange for a place to stay on our beautiful property (stay tent or hammock with netting). We will cook and share our meals together, everyone is required a food contribution of $80 pesos / $5 USD per day. Vegetarians are welcome and we love eating from our own magical garden.
