EcoCaminhos is a regenerative ecofarm and permaculture community located in the mountains of Nova Friburgo (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). We work with syntropic agroforestry, natural building, sustainable living, community life and environmental education. Our mission is to regenerate the land while promoting human development, purpose, and well-being through meaningful connection with nature.We host international participants who are seeking a deep, long-term and hands-on experience in sustainability. Our daily routine includes agroforestry work, bioconstruction projects, composting, gardening, community activities, and learning moments based on permaculture principles. The environment is international, multicultural, and rooted in cooperation and respect.
We welcome applicants who are motivated, responsible, open to learning, and aligned with ecological values. This opportunity is ideal for people who wish to develop real skills in agroforestry, natural building, community living, and regenerative practices.
WORKING ARRANGEMENT
Participants join our daily activities in agroforestry and/or natural building, depending on the chosen area. Tasks may include planting, pruning, mulching, biomass management, seedling care, soil regeneration practices, mixing cob, natural plasters, carpentry basics and other sustainable farm tasks.
We prioritize individuals who can commit to longer stays to ensure a meaningful learning process. Days are hands-on, physically active and require responsibility and teamwork. English is necessary to communicate with our international team.
LIVING ARRANGEMENT
EcoCaminhos is a working ecofarm with simple, nature-oriented infrastructure. We provide shared accommodation, healthy meals prepared with local ingredients, and a safe, multicultural community environment. Participants live close to nature, with access to hiking trails, waterfalls and peaceful landscapes. Internet is available in common spaces.
