Volunteer Work in Kenya

Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Our Kenya volunteer program provides you with a unique opportunity to experience real Kenya. A mixture of volunteer work, meeting and interacting with local people and helping disadvantaged communities.

Kenya offers a variety of opportunities in many different sectors for the passionate volunteer. Whether you already have training in a particular field or would like to gain experience, there are many projects run in Kenya that would gladly take your passion and support. Whichever program you choose, Kenya’s wildlife, cultural diversity, and rich East African history will not disappoint.

Go Volunteer Africa allows you to give back to communities in Kenya while exploring the amazing diversity and rich cultural history of this stunningly beautiful country in Africa. Whether you are interested in teaching volunteer work, childcare volunteer work, construction volunteer work, healthcare volunteer work or sports coaching volunteer work or just interested in touring, surfing and safari, Go Volunteer Africa has something in Kenya that is suitable for you.

We tailor school, corporate and adventure expeditions for groups to suit specific requirements. Go Volunteer Africa is guided by a unique commitment to its volunteers and to its communities.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT

Volunteers work from Monday to Friday, from 9AM-4PM and they have the weekends off to explore the country.

LIVING ARRANGEMENT

For volunteers working with our program in Kenya, accommodation will be provided in volunteer house which is basic but comfortable. Accommodation can also be organized with a host family for deeper culture immersion experience. At some point volunteers might be on the move and hence we suggest also bringing a sleeping mat and sleeping bag/pillow for travel and weekends away on adventures. Bathrooms are usually shared. There is a lounge area for relaxing, reading, or watching movies.
