Support the construction of model kitchen gardens in Mukarange

This project intends to support poor families living in Mukarange sector, Kayonnza district to build 20 model kitchen gardens for various vegetables so that they may be able to get a balanced diet for their household members, especially children suffering from malnurition. The first activity is to raise their awareness, and then give them seeds and tasks to start the nursery beds. When seedling are ready, they will receive basic materials to make models kitchen gardens, and the last thing will consist of planting and other farming activities. The duration of the project will be 3-6 month from January, 2024.WORKING ARRANGEMENT
Monitoring the activities will be done on weekly basis by spending 2-3 hours with concerned families (farmers). We will be monitoring how nursery beds were done, if they remembered to add organic manure or watering, how they have done the kitchens gardens together and provide technical advise.
LIVING ARRANGEMENT
The host organization will provide accommodation to the volunteers and three meals a day, but sometimes we will be serving meal outside, especially during the weekends.
