Join us as we try to save the last Hippos living in Lake Sibaya, South Africa's biggest fresh water lake and part of the Isimangaliso Wetlands Park, an UNESCO World heritage site for biodiversity and natural beauty. This remote wilderness is located on the eat coast of South Africa in the heart of Zululand and on the Elephant Coast.
Here we invite students, travelers, volunteers and offer internships to assist us in general conservation work.
We offer study support and training. At our research camp you will find comfortable accommodations, great meals and a variety of activities on offer, From Scuba Diving to Big 5 Safaris.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT
Volunteers are encourage to work on their own pace on projects that interest them. At the moment we are updating the species list for the greater Lake Sibaya area. Every day we go out and photograph, identify and describe a variety of species found in the area and upload it to our general data base for future research. Over weekend we will usually go on safari to the nearby wildlife reserves, have lazy days on the beach or explore the wilderness around our camp
LIVING ARRANGEMENT
At our base camp we offer comfortable , private rooms, hot water showers, free Wi-Fi and 3 meals a day, we can provide for meat eaters, vegetarians and gluten free diets. We also have self catering facilities, a lively bar and provide everything needed for an exceptional African experience.
