English Teaching Volunteer Program in Arusha, TANZANIA.

My name is Zuma. I'm the founder and director of Cheti NGO and Mchokodo (a Tour Company) all located in Arusha, Tanzania. Im also a husband and a father of two. Cheti non-profit organization focuses on supporting indigent children and families in our community.

Cheti schools are the institutions that are supported by CHETI organization in Tanzania. These schools are aiming at providing quality education to Tanzanian children in different levels. The institutions involve Day care, Nursery schools, Primary school and Secondary school.

The major aim of this organization is to help widows, orphans and poor Tanzania children who have no access to formal education.

We're looking for volunteers to help us achieve our goal! If you're interested in being part of our team, please reach out!

WORKING ARRANGEMENT

Volunteers will assist in teaching English language by educating children about fundamental concepts, such as colors, letters, numbers, and shapes.

Encouraging social interactions between children and improving their self-esteem.

Engaging in creative methods of learning, such as arts and crafts, supervised play, and storytelling.

Fundraising for local development projects and finding sponsorship to the less fortune children

Monitoring free time on the playground.

LIVING ARRANGEMENT

We'll be happy to share our home with you but we also wonderful have hostels located in Arusha, Tanzania. We're a community of like-minded individuals who want you to experience all that Africa has to offer. Whether you're interested in volunteering as part of an educational program or just want to experience the sights and sounds of Africa, we'd love to have you join us.

Your time with us is invaluable. We know you'll want to return home with a smile on your face and a renewed sense of purpose.

IN ADDITION

Arusha is an incredible place rich in culture and beauty. Its located in the northern part of our country. During the weekends, a volunteer has free time to relax or take the opportunity to explore Arusha. Arusha is also known as the safari capital of Tanzania because it is the connecting point to those interested in visiting Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro crater, Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Park.

Our organization has a warm environment, friendly children/staff who are helpful and happy to see volunteers. Volunteering at our organization will provide a cultural exchange in brief from learning our local way of life to experiencing in first-hand the best of what our beautiful country has to offer spiritually, geographically and culturally

Volunteers will get to integrate with the locals, experience what the country and people are like and see places they have probably only seen before in television. They will get opportunities to make New Friends. Volunteers will get to meet locals and other participants from all over the world. You will form strong bonds working alongside other people from many different countries.
