Location: Hanoi, Vietnam

We are an educational community organization called Mercury, which was founded by Peter and his brother, who came from the humble beginnings with a passion and desire for helping people.
After 5 years of establishment and development, Mercury was legalized and began receiving assistance from the government. Currently, we are associated with local authorities to implement a project to support students in secondary and high schools and we are in need of international volunteers.
The legnth of this project is two months, from the beginning of November until the end of December.
The role of volunteers will be teaching English in secondary and high schools in the town of Bach Ninh (about 40 km from Hanoi) to support the students in their learning of this language, as the standard level of teaching English in Vietnam is still in progress.
This project is not only a huge step forward for the students of these public schools but also for the whole town, as it supports the growth of its economy and fosters the formation of international relationships.
Volunteer hours will be around 3-4.5 hours per day from Monday to Friday.
During the weekends, tours and excursions will be available for the volunteers, which are supported by the center with transportation, hostel, meals, etc.

Volunteers will be working in schools in the town of Bac Ninh (40km from Hanoi)
There are 25-30 students in each class. As a teacher, you will use English text books provided by the schools based on Vietnamese teaching curriculum. Before you begin teaching, volunteers will be trained for 2 days on the methods and organization of the classes.
Volunteers are required to work from 3-4.5 hours per day, 5 days per week except Saturday and Sunday.
Each lesson is 45 min in length with 10 min for break time.
