PROJECT DESCRIPTION
We are looking for volunteers to help us with our upcoming Tahitian lime harvest and some small renovation projects. We are located in Mareeba, a beautiful region in Far North Queensland known for its rich agricultural land and tropical climate. The area is surrounded by stunning landscapes, from rolling hills to the nearby Atherton Tablelands, with plenty of waterfalls, national parks, and wildlife to explore.
The Tahitian limes, which typically ripen from late autumn to early winter, are almost ready to be picked . The fruit is best harvested when full-sized and dark green, and we need a pair of willing hands to help us bring them in before they turn yellow or rot . This is the main focus, but we also have renovation projects around the property that need attention, like small repairs, painting, and tidying up.
Mareeba is a great base for exploring the region. On your days off, you can visit the famous Undara Lava Tubes, hike through the lush rainforests of the Tablelands, swim in the crystal-clear crater lakes, or head to the coast to explore the Great Barrier Reef. There's always something to do and see.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT
You'll be helping with the lime harvest, which is the priority, and then we'll focus on the property maintenance. This could involve a mix of gardening, painting, repairing fences, or other general upkeep tasks, depending on what needs doing. We ask for about 4 to 5 hours of help a day, with flexibility built in, so we can work in the cooler morning hours . The afternoons are usually free to relax, explore, or head to the nearby river for a swim .LIVING ARRANGEMENT
We offer a private room or a comfy spot in a shared space, all meals, and full access to the kitchen and WiFi. The atmosphere is relaxed, and we're looking for someone who's happy to get stuck in and be part of the daily rhythm of the place.Mareeba is a great base for exploring the region.
