Help wanted on a farm and B&B in Ampleforth, UK 🌿🐑

We are looking for volunteers to help us with the changing seasons on our farm and bed and breakfast in the beautiful countryside of Ampleforth, North Yorkshire. Surrounded by rolling hills, green fields, and peaceful villages, this is a place of natural beauty and traditional rural life.The work varies depending on the time of year. In springtime, we need help with lambing, which is a busy and rewarding season. You will also help in the garden and with the dogs. As summer arrives, the focus shifts indoors to help with running the bed and breakfast. This includes guest hosting, cleaning, preparing breakfast, and maintaining the garden.

If you have beekeeping skills, that is a definite bonus. We would love someone who can help with the bees and share their knowledge.

The work is hands-on and varied, and we ask for around 4 to 5 hours of help per day, with flexibility depending on the season. Some days are busier than others, but there is always time to enjoy the countryside and the company of the animals.Accommodation is simple and comfortable, and meals are provided and shared together. We eat fresh, local food, and we enjoy cooking and eating as a group. The atmosphere is warm, family-oriented, and welcoming.

Ampleforth is a lovely village with a rich history, known for its famous monastery and beautiful landscapes. On your days off, you can explore the nearby North York Moors, visit the city of York, walk along the river, or simply relax and enjoy the peace of the countryside.
