PROJECT DESCRIPTION
We are building a compost loo and an outdoor shower, putting in a reed bed and paving stones, and then building a log cabin at our woodland. We are also finishing off our strawbale studio, which you can see pictures of on our website.
We live near Canterbury in Kent, just 3 miles from the city centre. There is a train station just a one-minute walk away, so getting around is easy, and London is less than an hour by train.
The place is a mix of projects, all at different stages. There is always something to do, and we are looking for someone who enjoys outdoor work, doesn't mind getting their hands dirty, and is happy to be part of a small, creative team. The work varies from day to day, depending on the weather, the season, and what needs doing most urgently. Some days it might be digging, mixing, or laying paving stones. Other days it might be helping with the strawbale studio, clearing the woods, or preparing the site for the log cabin. There is also gardening, general maintenance, and keeping the shared spaces tidy.
The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and down-to-earth. We value people who are independent, proactive, and easy to be around. If you enjoy nature, hands-on projects, and a slower pace of life, you will probably feel at home here.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT
We ask for 5 hours of help per day, 5 days per week. The schedule is flexible, and we try to match tasks to your skills and interests. Whether you are strong with a shovel, good with a saw, or just willing to learn, there is always a place for you here.LIVING ARRANGEMENT
We offer accommodation in a large shared room, or if you prefer more privacy, there is also a strawbale studio available. Both are comfortable and warm.
