Farm work near Lake Baikal - Siberia Russia

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
My name is Ilja. I was born in the Soviet Union, in Latvia, but I grew up in Poland, studied in Germany, and currently live in Bologna, Italy. I have a family in the village of Buguldeyka on Lake Baikal, which I often visit, and I want to help them maintain and develop their magical place. If you decide to come, I can make an invitation letter for your visa. We can agree later on which kind of work you can do there. I am sure you would love it if you come there once..
We have a small farm called Eastories Farm in the village of Buguldeyka, on the shores of Lake Baikal in Russia. It is located about 220 kilometres from the nearest city, Irkutsk. We have 17 cows, 30 sheep, and about 25 hectares of field where we mow hay in the summer.
My family and I would be very glad to host you and offer you a stay in our place. Our farm is not well developed. It is simple and very basic. My uncle works with the animals throughout the year. In summer, he collects the hay, and in winter, he cleans the stable, feeds the animals, and gives them water. It seems simple, but in our conditions, it takes a lot of time.
For years, my grandmother, uncles, and cousins lived there doing this work and working in the local school. The farm was never well maintained, and the houses around neither. There was no need to make it better, but there was also no money for that. I wanted to change it, so I decided to try Airbnb, so they could have another source of income. The idea worked out, and since 2015, we have continuously hosted guests and volunteers from all over the world, developing our place step by step.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT
There would be a maximum of 4 hours per day of work or tasks. The work varies depending on the season and what needs doing. It could include helping with animals, haymaking, gardening, maintenance, or small construction projects. We cannot keep up construction work during winter, and there is often a lack of materials and workers. Because people here are used to doing things the way they were always made, we sometimes just need an idea from someone else. Maybe you can show us how to resolve or improve some daily tasks, how to decorate a place, which materials to use, or how to place furniture.LIVING ARRANGEMENT
We can offer free meals and basic accommodation including the sauna that you can use every evening. The accommodation is simple and rustic, but comfortable and welcoming. If you can contribute something for the facility usage it's very welcome.
