PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Lysefjorden Utvikling AS is organising volunteering holidays with one clear goal: to make the Lysefjord an even better place to stay. You can join an international group of volunteers restoring historic buildings, clearing viewpoints, and reclaiming cultural landscapes. The work is physically demanding, but there will also be time for activities, excursions, and enjoying the stunning surroundings.
There will be 4 to 5 international volunteer groups, each staying for one week. You will be staying in the roadless hamlet of Flørli, on the banks of the Lysefjord, hosted in an apartment with a view of the fjord. A team leader takes care of the group, and we do our best to give you a nice and memorable stay, using evenings and two free days for social activities.
The programme is free, but you are expected to pay for your travel to Norway. We discourage applications from people outside Europe unless you have outlined plans for a longer stay in Norway and your finances and paperwork are in order.
Flørli is located in the Ryfylke region, near Stavanger in south-western Norway. It is the southernmost part of Fjord Norway, with famous attractions like Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock), Kjerag, and the Lysefjord itself close by. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the preservation of a beautiful landscape while experiencing the best of Norwegian nature and hospitality.
