Ciao a tutti! I am a 60 years old woman living alone in a comfortable apartment in central Milan (Milano). I am recently retired and I love my city and its art, fashion and the "aperitivos". I enjoy a quiet, tidy home, good conversation, and learning about the world.
I am looking for a friendly, patient, and kind person to stay with me. My main goal is to improve my spoken English in a relaxed, natural way. I am not a beginner, but I need practice to feel more confident and fluent because I want to use it when traveling myself. I am more interested in chatting over coffee than sitting with grammar books, that goes without saying.
English practice is the heart of our exchange. We will spend time chatting about our lives, our countries, art, current events, or whatever comes to mind. I might ask you to read a newspaper article with me or help me practice a short presentation for my book club. Think of it as talking with a friend, not teaching a class.
I need a companion for my weekly trips to the local market and supermarket. Carrying the bags is sometimes heavy for me, and it is much more fun with company! We can also stop for a coffee along the way.
We can prepare simple lunches or dinners together. I love Italian cooking and would be happy to teach you how to make fresh pasta or a perfect risotto. In exchange, maybe you could share a simple recipe from your home country.
Sometimes I need help with small errands like mailing a package or going to the pharmacy. It is always nice to have a companion to walk with through the beautiful Milanese streets.
I am a big fan of independent cinema and on weekends, my daughter comes to visit, and we often go to a lovely old cinema nearby that shows classic and international films. I would love for you to join us! After the film, we can have dinner and discuss the movie—all in English, of course!
Note: I live alone, I have no pets, and the building is quiet. My daughter visits on weekends, and she is very friendly! My schedule is relaxed. If you need a day to explore Lake Como or take a train to Florence, we can easily adjust the hours. Smoking inside not allowed.

LIVING ARRANGEMENT
A quiet, cozy bedroom in my apartment with a comfortable bed and closet space. It is your own peaceful retreat. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.
