PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Hey there! Join a cycling caravan, going from Geneva to Leipzig!
We are starting a "Velokarawane" (Caravane à Vélo), a bicycle caravan that will travel from Geneva all the way to Leipzig. The purpose of this trip is to connect with alternative projects and communities along the way, exchange knowledge and skills, organise resistance actions like critical masses, and most importantly, share loads of fun and good energy.
The route will take us through different landscapes, across borders, and into the heart of various social and ecological initiatives. We will be hosted by house projects, squats, and farms along the way, but we will also camp, organise concerts, and participate in local festivals and events. Every day will be different, and the journey itself is as much the destination as Leipzig.
The entire trip is organised on a non-hierarchical, self-managed basis. There is no leader, no fixed hierarchy. Decisions are made collectively, and everyone contributes according to their skills, energy, and desires. We are looking for people who are open-minded, flexible, and ready to embrace the unpredictable nature of a long-distance cycling adventure.
All you need to participate is a tent and a bike that can handle the distance. Everything else can be figured out along the way.
