Help needed at event space in Japanese countryside.
I run an event space with a garden where I grow organic vegetables. The garden needs regular maintenance, and I also have a workshop restoring antique furniture. Work involves keeping the grounds clear, preparing for parties and events, and sometimes helping with the preparation of artifacts and products like incenses and essential oils that I sell online.
I am also finishing the restoration of an old farmhouse next door, where you would have your room. The work there is nearly complete but a hand is sometimes appreciated. WiFi, a computer, and a large collection of films are available. Upstairs is a fully equipped party space with a 4000 watt sound system, available for those who know how to use it.
We are not within easy walking distance of town, but a vehicle is usually available for day trips or weekend outings. An international driving license is required, and it would be a great help for transporting antiques as well.
I enjoy cooking and guests usually find the meals very tasty. They are vegetarian, though not strictly vegan. Separate kitchen facilities are available. I tend to get up late and have brunch instead of breakfast and lunch, so I will provide supplies for you to prepare your own breakfast. Dinners are shared, and lunches can be prepared together. I appreciate help with meal preparation and kitchen cleanup, as well as some general domestic work.
I expect around 4 to 5 hours of work per day, with 2 days off per week, most likely weekends. If there is an event on a weekend, I may ask you to help and give you two other days off during the week instead.
If you are handy, enjoy the outdoors, and are comfortable with countryside life in Japan, I would love to hear from you.
