PROJECT DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a volunteer to help us in our family posada in Paraguarí. One of the best places to visit in Paraguarí is the iconic Cerro Hu, a 400-metre hill shaped like the little Prince's snake that ate an elephant. This hill is located on our property, Posada Cerro Hu.
You are encouraged to have a project you want to develop or a skill to practice, such as permaculture skills, art projects, eco-building, or whatever sparks your fire, as long as it aligns with our values and goals. We also have other proposals that could adapt to your interests.
You will be living at La Casita del Cerro and will be able to use the kitchen and all utilities. This place will soon become a restaurant, and we want this to be a collaborative project. We want you to be part of it if it feels right for your heart and soul.
We are looking for someone who speaks at least a bit of Spanish and is willing to communicate with clients with kindness. We will test if our cooperation flows easily through the first month. WORKING ARRANGEMENT
Your main task will be at the reception and as cashier of La Casita del Cerro, registering all visitors and selling basic products like water and snacks. The place needs to be open from 8am to 6pm, Wednesday to Sunday. The workload is quite low on weekdays, so you will have a lot of free time to work on your side projects. On weekends, 2 to 4 people are working, depending on the season. LIVING ARRANGEMENT
We have one private room with a bathroom for long-term volunteers. This room could be for one person, a couple, or really close friends who do not mind sharing a room. This room is reserved for those who commit to 6 months. However, if you are our first volunteer, you will have the room for yourself from day one. For short-term volunteers, we have a shared room for up to 4 volunteers with shared bathrooms.You will be living at La Casita del Cerro and will be able to use the kitchen and all utilities.
