Do you love teaching English and want to practice your Spanish too? Ecuador
Location: Latacunga, Ecuador
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
We are an English language institute located in the charming city of Latacunga, where our motivated students are eager to improve their English skills. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help our students practice English in a fun and relaxed environment. Don't worry, you won't be teaching formal classes. Your role will simply be to engage in friendly conversation with our students, helping them to improve their speaking and listening
π€ Presentation β On your first day, please introduce yourself with a short 10-minute presentation (using PowerPoint or Canva). It helps students connect with you and feel comfortable.
π¬ Conversation Practice β You'll speak with students from 10:00 AMβ1:00 PM and 3:00 PMβ6:00 PM. Use your own topics or the list we provide. After each talk, give written feedback on the form they'll bring. If someone is waiting, just switch to the next student β no need to find them yourself!
π₯ Video Support β Sometimes we'll ask you to help record short videos for our programs. These are informal and fun, but not always scheduled β thank you for being flexible!
πΏ Wednesday Outings β Lead a small group (up to 10 students) on a real-world language activity in places like parks or museums, from 11:00 AMβ12:00 PM and 3:00 PMβ4:00 PM.
π Thursday Events β Twice a month, teachers may invite you to help with outdoor activities. We'll give you all the details ahead of time.
π Judging Presentations β Advanced students give short lectures, and we'd love for you to join as a judge β offering feedback and asking questions.
π Private room & bathroom β your own peaceful space
πΆ Wi-Fi β to stay connected with family and friends back in Houston
π³ Shared kitchen β feel free to cook your favorite meals
π΅ $5 per working day (paid at the end of your time with us)
π 6 hours/day, 3 days a week β the rest of your time is yours to relax, explore the city, and truly soak in the local culture
