Help wanted in Montreal and the Laurentians, Quebec, Canada

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
We are a small family of 3, and we are looking for a volunteer to join us and help with a variety of projects. Our lives are busy and full, and we would love some extra hands and good company.
My spouse, Marco, is 60 years old and has run a used vintage furniture shop in the Mile-End in Montreal for over 26 years. He just received a renoviction notice and needs to move out of the premises soon. His furniture stock is piled up, and he will need help moving furniture around. He is strong and in great shape for his age, but he is thinking about closing the store permanently instead of moving into another store, in order to start preparing for his retirement. He also has a house with 4 apartments, including an AirBnB, that needs a lot of exterior renovations, including the balconies, stairs, and backyard, and a country house that needs structural renovations. Before becoming a self-taught wood builder, Marco opened a music studio that is still open today. He loves music, instruments, and vintage music gear. He also loves meeting new people and is a great cook.
I, Rebecca, am 26 years old and in the process of completing my bachelor's degree in administration. I will start working as a real estate evaluator trainee in the summer, and I am very excited. I have always worked in customer service positions while going to school since I was 16, and I really like keeping myself busy. I have been helping Marco at his furniture store for the past 5 years and have gotten pretty good at reupholstering chairs and benches. I manage the furniture store's social media platforms and website, the AirBnB, and I usually do the shopping and schedule family activities. I enjoy watching series, walking, and I consider myself sporty, but I haven't had a chance to practice sports because I am too busy with all my other responsibilities. I also love food and eating healthy.
Our little one, Dina, is a lovely 2-year-old who has recently started daycare. She enjoys being with mommy, doing crafts, playing outside, seeing friends, and meeting new people.
For food, we provide cereals, milk, eggs, butter, toasts, and jam for breakfast every day, 5 lunches, and 5 prepared suppers that we eat together a week, usually including salad or vegetables, meat, beans or fish, rice or potatoes, and soup or a dessert. In exchange for a little extra work, we can also provide money and/or a car for your spare time.
The used vintage furniture shop is located at 4872 Avenue du Parc in the Mile-End, one of the most hip neighbourhoods in Montreal. There are lots of local shops, cafes, restaurants, bakeries, bars, and parks. It is close to downtown, where all the summer exterior shows happen, including the Just for Laughs festival, the Francos, and the Jazz Fest. You might also want to visit the Old Port, where Old Montreal was constructed for its architectural value. The Science Centre, the Botanical Gardens, the Insectarium, the Biodome, and the Planetarium are also fun activities while visiting Montreal.
Our country house is situated in the Laurentians and surrounded by nature. There are many places for hiking big mountains and practicing water sports. The country house is surrounded by trees and is a 5-minute walk from a beautiful river where you can relax. On weekends, sitting by a campfire at night with a fresh beer or glass of wine feels really relaxing when surrounded only by the moon and stars. When at the country house, you will have the choice of staying in a private room or in our mini caravan.
There are also beautiful places to visit in Laval, where our house is situated, including a beautiful park called Centre de la Nature. We are a great stepping stone to Montreal city living, and we really hope you will write to us with any questions you may have.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT
We ask for 25 hours of your time per week. The tasks are varied and depend on what is needed at the time. They include moving furniture at the used furniture shop, general maintenance and cleaning, taking pictures of items to sell and posting them online, helping with exterior renovations at our house in Laval, and helping with structural renovations at the country house in Entrelacs, Quebec. We do not have a tight schedule, so you can easily take 4 to 5 days off in a row to go visit the beautiful nature of Quebec.LIVING ARRANGEMENT
We provide a private room including a bed, a desk, a chair, a dresser, a wardrobe, and a balcony if you are one person. You will have a shared bathroom with a shower, bath, soap, shampoo, washer, washing detergent, towels, toilet paper, and toothpaste. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook, and the living room has a TV with lots of free movies and series to watch.
