The land is 640 acres surrounded by national forest with 7 year around creeks and 4 lakes, a 65 foot water fall, several large garden areas with orchard and vineyard the entire place is off the grid the power being produced by hydro electric generators. Work is varied including gardening, light construction, taking care of the chickens and generally helping maintain the farm. Goal for the farm is completely self sustaining sanctuary independent of the outs side world. Length of stay depends on the persons, the goal is to find permanent people but would probably start out 2-6 weeks to evaluate the people and go from there. Could probably use 3-6 people depending on the people. I have several trailers for workers and several camping sites. March through November is the main season but it could work into a year around situation depending on the person.. The Trinity River is 3 miles away and there is a lot of wilderness area nearby for hiking. Also the beach is about an hour and 15 minutes. There is no bus or public transportation to the farm so ideally the people would need their own transportation or ride to town with the manager of the farm or myself again depending on the person. English and Spanish are spoken at the farm. Pets would be considered on a case by case basis and children would be considered but preference would be given to those without children.
