Farming group in Kenya community development and sustainable agriculture

We are a group of young farmers who have come together to form a farming group. We focus on farming programs with a mission to end poverty and illiteracy, and to create new innovative ideas in farming technology that can help increase economic activity in our surrounding communities and promote sustainable development.

Our goal is to promote education for disadvantaged orphans and widows, and to transfer vocational skills through permaculture, sustainable agriculture, and simple farming methods that can improve the economic status of young people in our community, both school dropouts and those still in school who are talented in farming activities.We offer a flexible work pattern of 4 hours per day. The work involves various farming activities, teaching, and skills transfer, depending on the needs of the group and the interests of the volunteer. The remaining time is free for other activities like reading, visiting local attractions, or relaxing. We are also looking for volunteers with skills in grant writing, project fundraising, website design, or connections to talented global folks who can help with these areas.We provide a private room with bedding, including a bed, blanket, bedsheets, and mosquito nets. Volunteers will share everyday life with the host family, spending time together, cooking, having meals, exchanging ideas, discussing, and laughing. Basic food, typically Kenyan food eaten by everyone else, is provided. If a volunteer needs special or western food, they are free to buy their own foodstuff and cook to their liking.

There are also opportunities to visit local attractions like Lake Simbi Nyaima, Bala Volcanic, Masai Mara Game Park, Lambwe International Game Park, and soapstone modelling in Kisii.

We open our doors to willing and interested volunteers who want to come and work with us, share knowledge and skills, and contribute to our mission. Accommodation is home-based with a host family.Bellow are the contact and detail info
