About ESL
Empowerment for Sustainable Livelihood (ESL) is a Ghanaian non-governmental organisation committed to advancing sustainable livelihoods and improving community wellbeing through practical, inclusive and impact-driven programmes.
ESL works across areas including health equity, gender justice, economic empowerment, digital inclusion, community development, advocacy, awareness creation and capacity building.

The Volunteer Opportunity
As an ESL Community Impact Volunteer, you will contribute your time, knowledge, professional skills, creativity and networks to support initiatives that respond to real community needs.
Volunteers may participate in short-term campaigns, community projects, research activities, awareness programmes, events, capacity-building initiatives or longer-term programme support, depending on their skills and availability.
This is an opportunity for people who want to move beyond simply discussing social challenges and contribute to practical, measurable solutions.
Key Areas of Volunteer Engagement
1. Health Equity & Community Health
Support community health education, awareness campaigns, outreach activities, advocacy and mobilisation.
2. Cancer Awareness & Prevention
Support public education and awareness initiatives relating to cancer prevention, early detection, patient support and health-seeking behaviour.
3. Menstrual Health & Hygiene
Contribute to menstrual health education, dignity, advocacy, awareness and community-based initiatives.
4. Gender Justice & Inclusion
Support programmes that promote equality, dignity, participation, inclusion and opportunities for women and vulnerable groups.
5. Economic Empowerment & Livelihoods
Assist with entrepreneurship, employability, vocational skills, financial literacy and sustainable livelihood initiatives.
6. Digital Literacy & Technology
Support digital literacy, technology training, digital inclusion and responsible use of technology within communities.
7. Research & Data Collection
Assist with surveys, interviews, community assessments, literature reviews, data collection, analysis and documentation.
8. Communications, Media & Advocacy
Support social media management, content creation, storytelling, photography, videography, graphic design, public relations and advocacy campaigns.
9. Grant Development & Fundraising
Assist with identifying funding opportunities, donor research, concept notes, proposal development, fundraising campaigns and partnership development.
10. Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning
Support the documentation of activities, outputs, outcomes, lessons learned, beneficiary feedback and impact evidence.
11. Events & Community Mobilisation
Assist with planning and delivering workshops, campaigns, conferences, community engagements and other ESL activities.
12. Administration & Programme Support
Provide assistance with coordination, scheduling, documentation, records management, logistics and other programme-related activities.
