Nursery school volunteer in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

My name is Joseph. I am a teacher by profession. I live in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. I am married and have one son. My wife and I run a nursery school in Dar es Salaam. We are looking for volunteers to teach English to our children, aged 3 to 5 years old. You don't need to be qualified to volunteer with us. We welcome everyone who has a heart for children and a willingness to help.We need help with teaching and rebuilding the school. Working hours are from 8:00 in the morning to 2:00 in the afternoon. Saturday and Sunday are days off. The preferred length of stay is two weeks. The work is rewarding and hands-on. You will be teaching young children basic English through songs, games, and simple activities. If you have skills in building or maintenance, you can also help with rebuilding and improving the school facilities.We provide food and accommodation. You will stay in our family house, in your own private self-contained room. The accommodation is comfortable and welcoming. You will be part of our family and experience daily life in Dar es Salaam.

Dar es Salaam is a vibrant coastal city with a rich culture, beautiful beaches, and friendly people. On your days off, you can explore the city, visit the nearby beaches, or take trips to historical sites like Bagamoyo or the islands of Zanzibar.
