Hello everyone,

We are Gonzalo and Javier, two Spanish guys who are the hosts of a Guest House in Malaga. The house is a beautiful villa in a great location, very near the beach and the city centre.

We are looking for a fifth worker to join our team and help with the house keeping of the B&B: duties include cleaning, laundry, cooking –just for ourselves, not guests- welcoming guests and maybe some administration. These are tasks that can be done by anyone, but we require that the helpers carry them out at a fast pace and to a high standard. Ideally we would like to recruit someone with good organizational and administration skills, as well as a good level of English and possibly some Spanish.

For staff we have two rooms that are shared by two or three people each. We will consider all the applications, but preferably, we will be more interested in people applying on a single account –not couples- and aged between 21 and 32. Gender wise, we don’t exclude anyone for being male or female, but you have to keep in mind that you might have to share a room with someone of the opposite gender.

We will never ask you to work extra hours, but we do ask that the hours you work really count. We offer accommodation in a really nice house, all the bills including internet and full board –three meals a day-. If you find our profile on some famous hotels web, at the time of writing these lines our overall score is 9 out of 10, being the staff friendliness our strongest point. Guests' satisfaction and subsequent good reviews are essential to us. For that reason, we recruit workers who can really commit to helping this new venture and are good with people, naturally attentive and friendly, in order to keep receiving good comments about our service.

Basically there are three qualities that we really value in any person joining the team:

1- Efficiency and reliability at work: we'll need everybody to turn up on time and in good shape, and carry out your duties in an organized manner and to a good standard.

2- Extra attention to our guests: interacting and empathizing with all our guests is a must, we ought to listen to their plans, questions or requests and respond in the best possible manner. It is essential to have good people skills and go the extra mile in terms of kindness and friendliness towards our guests so they can feel like at home.

3- A positive and sensible attitude towards the team and the villa: we recruit people willing to get involved with the team, who want to participate with the rest of the housemates while being respectful at all times, including sensible housekeeping when not on duty. We need good vibes and harmony in the house so that all volunteers can feel happy, which reflects in a naturally friendly service to our guests.

Please note that our house is not a backpackers hostel, it's a beautiful B&B in a good area and so the standards of cleanliness and service expected by our guests are also higher; therefore, the quality of our work must be up to those expectations. If you have some experience in the hospitality industry it'd be great.

We would rather recruit someone willing to stay at least 6-8 weeks. There are plenty of things to see and do in Malaga, so you won't get bored!
