Ticket To The Moon Foundation in Sumba island

TTTM foundation is looking for volunteers who are interested in farming and sustainable living.We are actually 3 french people living on site : JC (50), Jo (38) and Gwenn (37) plus some of the best local artisans (8 persons more or less).
The job is a COMBINATION of gardening, maintenance and cooking.
Here is a list of the upcoming projects :
- Helping with the kitchen (cleaning dishes, making marmalade, pickles, smoking fish…)
- Building animal shelters for chickens and pigs
- Building an outdoor classroom for the children
- Building a fish pond
- Building a pizza oven
- General gardening and landscaping (raking leaves, plant trees & bushes)
- Maintenance stuff (painting, drilling holes, repairing)
In exchange you:
Sleep for free in our big house.
Have free food 3 times a day.
Get free sheets, mosquito net and hammock (but no towels).
We are happy to share our knowledge with you and you should be able to do the same.
We ask volunteers to do a minimum of 5 hours of work a day and the minimum time for volunteering is two weeks.
As a foundation, we don't require volunteers to pay in order to join, they have to deal with the travel expenses and visa making by themselves.
WARNING : TTTM foundation is located in a remote area where such facilities as the Internet, shops or restaurants are not available. Only humble volunteers with initiative and the ability to adjust to difficult living conditions are encouraged to apply.
